First Maharashtra State conference of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Chapter of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) MAHA IYCFCON – POSHAN 2023 was organized by Department of Pediatrics of this College on 20th August 2023. It was organised in collaboration with UNICEF, IYCF Maharashtra chapter, CIAP, BPNI Maharashtra, IAP Pune and POGS.

The prestigious Global IBCLC care award was presented to Respected Dr. Bhagyashree Patil Madam, Guest of Honor at the hands of Mrs Rajlakshmi Nair, UNICEF Maharashtra. Dr. Ramakant Patil, President IAP Maharashtra was the Chief Guest.

Dr. Simin Irani UNICEF Maharashtra, Dr.Sushma Malik, President ,BPNI Maharashtra graced the conference. The occasion was graced by Dr. (Mrs) P. Vatasalaswamy – Director of Academics, Dr. J. S. Bhawalkar - Dean, Dr. Ramakant Patil, Dr. Amol Pawar, Secretary Maharashtra IAP, Dr.Shilpa Dudhgaokar, President IAP Pune, Dr. Jayant Vagha, Vice President, IYCF Maharashtra, Dr. Arati Kinikar, Secretary HMBAI and Dr. Meenu Agarwal. The Souvenir was released during inauguration by the dignitaries.

Many renowned speakers from Mumbai, Nashik and other cities shared their pearls of wisdom. PG students from various colleges also participated in the Scientific paper and poster presentation. The scientific deliberation, arrangements and hosting was very well appreciated by all. It was anonymously decided that *Baby Friendly Workplace Initiative* will be promoted and pursued in the entire state as an output of this conference. The Intern Students from Department of Community Medicine presented a Nukkad Natak on the theme.

This conference was attended by more than 316 delegates from all over Maharashtra had registered for this useful conference.
