World 'Human milk donation day' was celebrated on 19th May 2023 by Yashoda human milk bank & CLMTRC of Dept of Pediatrics along with Department of OBGY and Community Medicine in association with IMA PCB, IMA PCB WDW and Rotary club, Nigdi.

Celebration started with White carpet walk at the entrance of high-tech hospital building with donor mothers having the sash of Super moms and crowns for top five contributors with the placards of promotional messages in hands.

It was followed by felicitation of donor mothers and supporters of milk bank in the medical College Auditorium and experience sharing of mothers.

Mrs. Pranita Alurkar, President Rotary Club of Nigdi Pune was the chief Guest and Dr. P Vatsala swami was the Guest of honour.

Dr. J S Bhawalkar Dean Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College Pune inaugurated the white carpet walk and short rally. Dr. H. H. Chavan, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Hemant Deshpande, Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, Dr. Pathare, Miss. Annie Francis, Dy. Registrar and Dr. Shilpa along with around 40 plus mothers joined the rally and program.

Dr. Hetal Rathod, Office Bearers from Rotary Club of Nigdi, IMA PCB and WDW; Faculties from Departments along with Residents and Interns graced the occasion.

Dr. Vidya Gaikwad had given informative talk on nutrition during lactation.
