The Department of Orthopaedics on 29th April 2023 had organized a Guest Lecture on “Knee surgery (open and arthroscopic)” by inviting esteemed Prof. Karl Eriksson who is a Senior Consultant & Orthopaedics Surgeon at Stockholm South Hospital and Professor of Orthopaedics at the Karolinska Institute Stockholm Sweden.

Prof. Eriksson was kind enough to accept our invitation to address our faculty and students and educate us regarding surgeries of the knee joint including the modern-day arthroscopic knee surgeries. It was an enriching session for the students and they got an insight in this side of orthopaedics and also got exposed to the ongoing advancements in the field. It helped clarify concepts of students in knee surgeries and also developed interests in their minds. This was enthusiastically attended by 40 delegates, all Residents and Faculties Department of Orthopaedic.
