Following events were organized –

Announcement of Parent Support group for Pediatric Epilepsy by Dr. H. H. Chavan, Medical Superintendent, Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri Pune.

Poster Display *on Epilepsy awareness by Postgraduate students & Pediatric Neurology fellow trainees.

“Do’s and Don’ts in Epilepsy ” – Talk for parents by Dr. Vishwanath Kulkarni, Consultant Ped. Neurologist

“Parental awareness on Epilepsy ” -Talk for parents by Dr. Rasika Bharaswadkar, Asso. Prof. & Ped. Neurologist

Programme was organised in Pediatric OPD ( OPD No – 12) , High-tech Hospital It was attended in large numbers by all the faculty, residents, and parents.

All the parents of children with epilepsy were sensitised regarding the first aid measures to be taken during a seizure episode and do’s and don’t’s in epilepsy. They were made aware of the myths and superstitions related to epilepsy. Epilepsy awareness brochures were distributed amongst the parents. The entire programme was well appreciated by everyone. The event was organized under the cooperation, guidance and support of management.
