Writ of reestablishment of DPU Unit was handed over to the Head of Unit Dr. J. S. Bhawalkar, Dean Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Pune; Secretary Dr. Shailaja Mane, Professor, Dept. of Paediatrics, Dr. D Y Patil Medical College, Pune; Senior faculty advisors: Dr. N. J. Pawar, Vice Chancellor, Dr. P. Vatsalaswamy, Director Academics & IQAC, Dr. Y. M. Jayraj, Advisor to Hon. Chancellor, Dr. Suryakar . The steering committee of Faculty and Students’ wing of DPU Unit of International Chair in Bioethics was re-established. Writ of Students’ Wing were handed over to Mr. Aakul Bhuyan, Head, Students’ Wing; Mr. Akansh Setu, Secretary, Students’ Wing; Ms. Aishwarya Thakur, Joint Secretary; Ms. Saijal Dalmia, Joint Secretary; Mr. Utsav Roy, Coordinator; Ms. Ira Gore, Coordinator. Along with that coordinators from different colleges and more than 100 students were inducted into the re-established DPU Unit of International Chair in Bioethics.

During the event certificates were handed over to the winners of International Competition of World Bioethics Day 2021 by Dr. Russell D’Souza. The position holders were –
\nTriple A team (lead by Aishwarya Thakur, Aakul B Bhuyan & Akansh Setu) for 1^st Position and 2^nd Position in Short Film Competition held by ETHOS 2021 International Bioethics, Medical & Research Conference 2021, and World Bioethics Day Competition 2021 respectively.
\nMansimran Johal 3^rd Position for Poetry in World Bioethics Day Competition 2021.

\nThe Event was concluded with a motivating speech of Dr. Russell D’Souza, in where he highlighted the importance of Bioethics in healthcare, and how the world is changing towards betterment with increasing awareness of Bioethics. He reminded the faculty in-charge and the Students’ Wing about the important role they’ll be playing for the awareness and outreach of Bioethics in all the sectors of healthcare.
