The Department of Ophthalmology celebrated Glaucoma Week on occasion of World Glaucoma Week from 6^th March 2022 to 12^th March 2022 with the Theme THE WORLD IS BRIGHT, SAVE YOUR SIGHT.

Dr (Col) Shashi Prabha Prasad, Professor & HOD, Department of Ophthalmology inaugurated the screening Camp, and the Glaucoma Week was announced as started.

The Faculty & Residents from the Department of Ophthalmology had screened all patients coming to the OPD with a total of 955 patient screening done. Every patient underwent IOP examination and Optic Disc Evaluation, and suspected cases of Glaucoma were further investigated for Gonioscopy and Perimetry. Out of Total 955 patients 56 were diagnosed to have Glaucoma and were asked to undergo further investigations for glaucoma. 43 Gonioscopes and 22 Perimetry were done. 8 Laser PI were also done for angle closure glaucoma’s.

Various Ophthalmologist Guests from All over India also visited to observe the camp and applauded the efforts taken by the Department.
