GGRID (Global Grand Rounds in Infectious disease) is an online platform organized by Johns Hopkins Medical School for global discussions on infectious diseases. Department of General Medicine in collaboration with JHU had organized a case GGRID case discussion session on27^th June 2024 from 5.30 to 6.30 pm in the college auditorium.

Aryan Gupta, Pediatric Neurology trainee and AssistantProfessor, Department of PediatricsDr.D.Y.Patil Medical College, Pimpri, Pune presented a rare case of surviving rabies encephalitis in a child. He was mentored by Dr Shailaja Mane – Professor and HOD and Dr ShijiChalipat – Professor and Pediatric Neurologist.

The session washonored by the presence of Matthew Robinson in person who gave his valuable insights. The session was attended by Dr A.L.Kakrani (Professor of clinical eminence and Director Academic Collaboration), Dr.Shubhangi Kanitkar (Professor and HOD) Department of Medicine, faculties, fellows and residents from Medicine and Pediatric department.

Additionally, eight medical colleges across India joined online to participate in and discuss the case. It was a highly informative teaching session that provided a wealth of knowledge, benefiting everyone who attended.
