1.“World Obesity Day” was celebrated on 11^th March 2024 by Department of Pediatrics in Collaboration with the Department of Nutrition with a lot of enthusiasm, Awareness Regarding Pediatrics obesity was spread amongst parents and children visiting Pediatric OPD.

2.Dr. Supriya Gupta pediatrics endocrinologist and Dr. Sajili Mehta pediatrics endocrinologist welcomed the parents and children them Dr. Shailaja Mane (Professor & Head department of pediatrics) gave a talk Regarding rise in incidence of pediatrics obesity and its medical complications, Intern doctors gave talks regarding lifestyle modifications required to prevent obesity. Dietaicians gave talks on Do’s and Don'ts about diet in children, Booklets of healthy recipes were shared with patients. Intern doctors prepared informative posters which were displayed in Pediatric OPD.

3.Dr. Supriya Gupte & Dr. Sajili Mehta took lectures of Postgraduate and interns regarding the obesity pandemic and measures which need to be taken to curtail it. Patients with Pediatric obesity was also screened compiled & counselled for measures to control weight.

4.In all world obesity day was successfully celebrated by the Department of Pediatrics.
