Food Policy: Zero Hunger

Policy of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth aligned with SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

The Food Policy Zero Hunger for DPU establishes a university-wide framework to ensure access to safe, nutritious, affordable, sustainable, and culturally inclusive food for students, staff, faculty, visitors, and other members of the DPU community. It covers food safety and hygiene, healthy meal standards, dietary inclusion, local and sustainable sourcing, food-waste prevention and measurement, nutrition education, and support programs such as food pantries, meal vouchers, emergency assistance, and food recovery. The policy also defines accountability, monitoring, data collection, annual review, and amendment procedures across DPU’s constituent colleges and institutes.
