The Water Conservation and Reuse Policy of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth establishes guidelines for reducing water consumption, preventing wastage, and maximizing the reuse and recycling of water. It applies across the Vidyapeeth, its constituent colleges and institutions, hostels, hospitals, canteens, staff quarters, gardens, and offices through measures including water audits, efficient infrastructure, greywater recycling, rainwater harvesting, wastewater management, awareness programmes, monitoring, and preventive maintenance. The policy also defines departmental responsibility, oversight by a Water Conservation Committee, enforcement mechanisms, annual reporting and review, and compliance with applicable water conservation and quality standards.
