The Water Conservation and Reuse Policy of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth establishes a framework for reducing water consumption, preventing wastage, and maximizing the safe reuse of water through greywater recycling, rainwater harvesting, efficient infrastructure, monitoring, education, and maintenance. It applies across the Vidyapeeth and its constituent colleges, institutions, hostels, hospitals, canteens, staff quarters, gardens, and offices, with responsibilities assigned to departments and a Water Conservation Committee. The policy also provides for action plans, inspections, penalties and corrective actions for non-compliance, annual review, and alignment with applicable UGC regulations and water-quality requirements.
