The Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Consultancy Policy governs faculty consultancy, private consultancy, external employment, and other outside activities while protecting the University’s teaching, research, service, and reputational interests. It establishes requirements for prior approval, conflict disclosures, use of students and University resources, confidentiality, intellectual property, University name usage, and permissible consulting time. It also sets procedures for consultancy agreements, receipt and distribution of fees, project expenses, taxation, and revenue sharing, generally in a 70:30 proportion between the consultant and the Vidyapeeth.
