Intellectual Property Rights Policy

Policy of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth aligned with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

The Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Intellectual Property Rights Policy establishes principles and procedures for the ownership, protection, management, transfer, licensing, assignment, and commercialization of intellectual property created within or associated with DPU. It covers patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs, plant varieties, integrated-circuit layout designs, traditional knowledge, geographical indications, biodiversity, sponsored and collaborative research, startup ventures, and revenue sharing. The policy also defines the role of the DPU IPR Standing Committee and addresses confidentiality, conflicts of interest, disputes, liability, indemnity, and use of DPU’s name and trademarks.
